Adyton Systems Starts Cooperation with University of Applied Sciences Leipzig
Leipzig, 18 February 2011. "Successful Innovations Need the Right Networks and Scientific Knowledge". The Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce took an important step in helping make the connection between innovation, networking and science yesterday when they awarded a check for 5,000 € to support a project between Adyton Systems and University of Applied Sciences Leipzig (HfTL).
This is part of an intiative started in 2003 called "Economy Meets Science" where the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce supports Leipzig universities in generating and transferring research into the economy. Both Adyton Systems and HfTL are proud to be among this year's recipients.
Adyton Systems supervises a project which focuses on firewall optimization. The corporation, founded in 2010, develops next generation firewall solutions. Under the project management of engineer Michael Flegl, students will work on the project, "DPI Firewalling on Cisco ISR-AIM" through internships and final papers as well as tutorials by Adyton Systems. Within the project the integration on Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technologies into a firewall with the help of Linux-Kernel-Filtering will be tested.
The award from the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce means this scientific and practical project will be funded for six months. Both parties strive for a sustainable and long-term partnership.
